Day 66 - Wet Egret

At the Warburton Lotis farm this afternoon. Thi sfella was diving and swiomming underwater - Returning each time with a small fish.

Day 65- V8 Super car

The F1 Grand Prix is in Melbourne this weekend - Many people still come to the track because the V8's are there rather than just to see the F1 cars.
Shooting through the fence is a problem, and while it is possible to focus on the car and almost "see through the fence" I like this picture where the fence and the car both show up well. I like the front wheel lifting off the ground, the car is almost like a caged animal.

Day 64 - Roulettes

Lucky enough to get to the F1 Grand Prix practice today. The Roulettes were the highlight today.

Day 63 _ Wing benieth my Wings

I am a member of a photo forum and this month's photography challenges was to take a picture with the theme of "wind".
This wa my entry into that challenge. These are three of my many kites, flown this afternoon by my daughter just long enough for me to snap a photo.

Day 59 - Halfway there

Its been almost 2 months now since I started this Blig- Its been more challenging than I thought it would be to get a good A4 size photo that I can be proud of every single day. so I have cheated a little by using photos from my "lucky" days when I have been able to capture a number of good shots.
I feel I need to challenge myself more to take great photos of ordinary things so.
Anywa this is another picture of the Chnese Opera Singer around 1/2 wqay thorugh doing here Eye makeup. I like the little smile she has on her lips - I guess she like what she sees.

This photo was cropped to give what I think is a nice composition with leading lines and good use of the rule of thirds.

Day 57 - Chinese opera make-up

This Chinese Opera Singer is putting on her make-up before the show.
She was very pretty but the singing left a lot to be desired.
Its days like these that result in a lot of great shots on the one day, so I will be claiming a few days credits for todays efforts.

They seem to start them young at Taipusam Malaysia. This young man couldn't be more than 12 years old but he is already carrying a Cavadi of his own. How long will it be before he also has those hooks inserted into is back like the older guys?
