27- Seal asleep

We were fishing yesterday and went past the seals on the channel marker off Porsea Beach. As usual most of the seals were sleeping and it was difficult to get an interesting photo.
Today I spent a few minutes going through the photos and came up with this cropped section.

24 - Ainsley under 12's

morning  I went early to snap some photos of teams at the local cricket club. The under 12's have bright shirts that stood out agaianst the dark trees in the background. This action photo has a nice composition and bright coulurs.

23 Cape Schanck Lightstation

6:30 AM at the Cape Schanck Lightstation on the Mornington Penninsula.
This one will definetly get printed and hung up at home.

22 - Gannets off Portsea

WE went fishing in the bay this afternoon and our boat passed by one of the makers near the heads. These subtle coloured gannets caught my eye.

21 Reflection of a horse

As I drove to work last weekend- Yes on the weekend, I saw a horse and its reflection in a dam.
I thought to myself that this was worthy of a shot and went back to snap a few pics.
Out of the half dozen photos that I took this one is best becaus ethe horse has his head turned making the photo more intersting than the others where the horse was directly facing me.

19 - Passionfruit flower

This is a great fruit but the vine runs wild through th trees in my backyard - choking all manner of plants.
Still the flower has amazing symetry and wonderful colours.

17 - Hibiscus

Its been raining again and I am desperate for a photo fix. I dash outside into the rain. Not supposed to run with scissors in my hand but I out I go anyway, barefoot - cut a few blooms and head back inside to try out my birthday gift - a Nikon R1 ringflash kit.

Sunday afternoon - Finally a sunny day - I went to one of my favourite spots looking for a bird to photgraph. No luck - Instead I took 1/2 hour trying to snap a shot of dragonflies as the buzzed around.

15 - Bougainvillia

In the backyard last weekend - We've had so much rain over the past week and I haven't been out to get any photos- Going crazy -
A few minues f sunshine and I snapped this to keep me going for a while.
Great colours but the focus is not quite as sharp as I would have liked. Composition could be better too.. oh well it will just have to do.
