Gridiron Victoria Grand Final between the Rangers and the Buccaneers. The Blue player was tackled right on the goal line leading to an amazing flip over the tackler. TOUCHDOWN -
In January 2010 I set myself a challenge - To take a photo a day for the whole year. Sounds so simple.. But I want each of the photos to be worth printing in at least A4 size, something that is interesting, beautiful or unusual in some way. This should be a way for me to increase my photography skills and something that is worth sharing with friends and fellow photogs. I stopped uploading photos to this blog for around 7 years...So I will be uploading pictures to fill in the blanks.

183 - Rangers 2 defeated
Rangers-2 were defeated by the Raiders this morning, but I got some great shots.
One of the Raiders coaches (lady in black) cheers while the Raiders ( silver coloured team) make a touchtown. Raiders players on the sidelies watch anxiosly as the Rangers ( in green) try to stop the offense from crossing into the end zone.

182 - Tradesmen
These men are tradesmen - painters carpenters and plumbers display their tools while they wait on the streets to be hired. Old Delhi, India
179 - Buddies
The man on the right is a pedicab driver who I took a photo of three months ago. I went into Old Delhi looking to give him his photo but couldn't find him. I then gave his photo to a couple of other drivers who apparently knew where to find him. Half an hour later as I walked down the street these two guysbflagged me down ton thank me. He was very happy with his portrait and asked me to take another shot - below. This makes photography so satisfying!

167 - The labourer
This man is a labourer. He works in the Old Delhi spice market and carries heavy bags of spices on his head all day long.
166 - Papaya vendor
This papaya vendor enjoys his tea and agrees to pose for me as I walk by his stall.
It's amazing how a few words of greeting can make people relax and agree to a photo. This man is a Muslim and I just said Ah Salam Malikum."

165 - Monkey up a tree
I was looking for a couple of pedicab drivers this morning hoping to give them shots of themselvesvtaken during my last visit. Unlike lastvvisitvwhen I came here on a Sunday tonfind quiet streets,; today is Saturday and the streets are jammed with bicyle, motorcycles, three-wheelers, cars and trucks.
The pedicab guys are no where to be found,
I guess they have customers today. Perhaps I will have better luck tomorrow.
Meanwhile I spotva monkey yp a tree.

164 - Arif the street barber
Today I am back in Old Delhi. Three months ago I walked the streets of Chandy Chowk taking photos of the people on the street. Today I brought some of those photos with me and gave them back. Everyone without exception was pleased with this surprise gift.
Arif made me a cup of milky tea and then insisted on cutting my hair and giving me a very close shave with a straight edge razor.

162- Dave
Dave plays the guitar for us. This photo was not quite as sharp as I would have liked but it captures his personality well.
