Baseball game today

I just love taking sports photos. Fast moving sport requires fast reflexes and a lot of anticipation.
The lighting was difficult today but gave some "edgy effects"

Focus on the eye-leopard

Always set your camera to use a single focus point. This allows you to choose exactly where the camera will focus. If I hadn’t done this, the camera would certainly have focused on the leaves instead of on this leopard’s eye.

Namibian sand dune

It’s hard to explain the size of this sand dune… but if you look beyond the tree you can see some people that put this scene into perspective.

No more confessions here

I was driving to photography a rodeo in Coolamon NSW when I passed an old dilapidated  church building.

The doors were unlocked so I went inside and took this photo. At the time the Catholic Church was under a lot of scrutiny for child sex issues.

Leopard in tree

We went to South Africa on our first Safari. Cheryl, Corinne and I. My aim was to get a photo of a leopard in a tree, and it happened with just 2 day to go. I just love this photo.

A bit sheepish

Jos  my brother) and I were out on our motorbikes near Griffith yesterday and we came across a farmer moving his sheep from one paddock to another. We pulled over to stay out of the way, but the farmer wasnt happy - He said we were scaring the sheep and they wouldn't go where he wanted them to. We turned around and will do that road again today.

Windmill at sunset

Ok, so I didn't take this photo today... I took it a couple of weeks ago, .but I still like it. the colours could be nicer, but I am not in charge of sunsets so its out of my control.

Euro Train Station and my Moto Guzzi California 1400 SE.

I enjoy riding my motorcycle. Today I am riding from Seville to Shepperton. Tomorrow on to Griffith to help my brother with his "Chiro Ride".
I loke the sleek ines of the motor bike and the chisseled look of the station, the aggregate stones and railroad tracks.

I took this photo about 18 months ago. When COVID came to Australia we locked down our population. My elderly mother was in this nursing home and was not allowed to have any visitors. Normally I would have dinner with her every night, Now all I could do was stand outside her window and speak with her over the telephone.. Mum passed away 6 months later.

Blue Tree

Along the Highway between Shepparton and Griffith the earth is flat and featureless. However, I came across a dead tree that had been painted blue. I like the way the colour of the sky has been transferred to the tree. It’s almost as if the tree fell from the sky and was trying to get back up again.

Milky Way outside Griffith NSW Australia.

Its been almost 7 years since I last uploaded a photo a day on my blog. Today I start again.

Its been amazing this evening to spend an hour looking at the blogsite and seeing all the photos going back to 2010 when I first started this challenge.

This photo was taken about 2 weeks ago. This is a 24 second exposure at ISO 5000, aperture was f4. And focussed at infinity. My brother was down the road and lit up the gum tree with a flashlight for approx 3 seconds. I am pretty happy with this, as it’s just my 3rd attempt at Astro photography.
