Its been freezing cold here in Cumbria - A few weeks ago the UK was almost completely white with snow. Luckily I arrived a few days after the worst of the snowfall.
In this photo the ice on the lake is still eveident but not thick enough to walk on- Apparently only a week earlier people had walked from one side of the lake to the other.
