Foggy morning today - 7:30 AM on the way to work.
In January 2010 I set myself a challenge - To take a photo a day for the whole year. Sounds so simple.. But I want each of the photos to be worth printing in at least A4 size, something that is interesting, beautiful or unusual in some way. This should be a way for me to increase my photography skills and something that is worth sharing with friends and fellow photogs. I stopped uploading photos to this blog for around 7 years...So I will be uploading pictures to fill in the blanks.

Day 116 - Dog Agility Training
Through the tunnel at high speed and then over the hurdles, this dog looks to hiw master for the next instruction while still in mid air.
Day 113 - Roos
I picked up someone from the Airport this morning at 9:30. We made a bet that we could see Roos within 10 minutes of leaving the car park. He took the bet and I won -

Day 112 - Pencils
I saw this shot in a "How to" internet page about photography, so tonight I took a few minutes to try and recreate the shot. I will use this photo for the Realdotin challenge this month.
The photo has great colour. The upwards slope gives the photo some dynamic tension. It is also a good exercise in manual focus

Day 111 - Landfill or Reccycle Otto Bins
I drive past this line up of bins every Wednesday- Garbage day.
Each time I tell myself that these could make an interesting photo.
Finally, today I drove past - turned around and took a couple of shots.
I like the colours and the fact that only the green bins have been emptied, while the red bins still await their turn to be collected.
The curve is a good leading line for the photo and leads the eyes from the front bin along the curve to the gap and then onto the end of the line.

Day 110 - Croydon rangers Gridiron Club
Dau 108 -Teddy Bears
Corinne loves Teddy Bears and I needed some practice with my flash.
Very difficult to get the Black bear exposed properly without over exposing the white background and the brown bear.

Day 107 - At Dog Training
This Trio of Border Collies make a terrific blackand white photo.
The dog on the left has a white/blue eye on his white side and a normal black eye on his black side.

Day 106 - Daniel
This is my son Daniel.
I used "off camera flash" to light up the front of his face, this gives the effect of him watching TV or sitting in front of his PC.

Day 105 - Wedding
Day 104 - Dog School
Went to dog training with my daughter today and kept myself entertained by taking pictures of the dogs.
Some of these dogs are so well trained they will sit silently while thier master's go and have a cup of tea - Amazing.

These dogs have been trained to retrieve an object on the otherside of the wall. They go and find the object then jump back over the wall to return the object to the master.
