The sand hills change colour as the sunrises behind us. The three of us try to find different angles to capture the best photo as the light gets brighter quickly. Surprisingly we find that by climbing over the sandhills into the small valleys below that we can maximise our time as the sun hits different dunes at workable intervals.
A couple of magpies rest in the trees at the top of the sand hill as the sun rises.

Eugene finds another shot. The "Golden Hour" with the best light seems to last only minutes as the strong Australian sunlight soon overwhelms the sands with a harsh whiteglare, eliminating shodows. Our photo opportunities fade away all too quickly.
